We were recently commissioned by Keely Mistwood to create a unique, lush green, coastal environment on a private Homestead. After a couple of chats about here home and how she wished it would be we had a little brief and a lot of freedom! Make sure to check out our HD video of how this commission turned out by clicking the image above. 💕
Today we’re celebrating the first anniversary of the surf at Ash Falls!
Last year we produced seven regions in ten months with little time off. By the end of October we already knew we needed to allow ourselves time and space to recharge, but it was technical issues which ultimately forced our break. With time away from SecondLife we were able to reflect on an amazing year, full of incredible highs that ultimately overshadowed some very difficult lows.
Over the autumn period we’ve been quietly beavering away on some projects which you can now find on our portfolio pages; A gorgeous autumnal personal homestead for Brandon and Thalia Taselian, the new Cold Ash store sim and ofcourse the Ultra Event building environment. All of which you can also find some amazing photos of in our Flickr group.
This last week has been an interesting for the whale watching community everywhere. On the morning of 25th September a Beluga Whale was spotted in the Thames Estuary just outside of London and the country has been somewhat gripped by his plight. There’s been concern for his well being ranging from monitoring his swimming patterns to ensure he doesn’t end up too distressed and to ensure that well-meaning people hoping to catch a glimpse of him don’t venture on to the water to further stress him as he navigates the unfamiliar environment.
As the Summer draws to a close and Fall sets in round Johnston Strait the team at OrcaLab have busy monitoring the Northern Resident groups as they passed through the area. We’ve just had the latest update from them, with some beautiful video shot by one of their Summer staff.
Following the announcement of our Creative Partnership with ULTRA Events, we were really pleased to be asked to take on a project to theme the event building ready for the September ‘Wanderlust’ round! Working with some ideas from the ULTRA team we were inspired to turn their space into a time-worn warehouse, overgrown and greening, the plaster wearing away to the bricks, with a tree towering through it’s open roof space casting shadows on the grass below.
We recently invited SL Blogger and Explorer, Strawberry Singh, to stop by Cloudbreak to take a moment to enjoy our pink-kissed beaches and dense jungle! We’re pleased to share that Berry found a little early morning space in her schedule to put together a blog post about Cloudbreak, and then spent some time exploring the region on a live stream on her YouTube channel!
First of all, thankyou so much to literally every person who contributed a photo. This was one of the hardest things we’ve had to do and have been completely blown away by both the response and all the images people have taken time to enter. We know how much work goes into photo creation and we try to make that a little easier by putting just as much effort into our environments, for you.
We love, admire and respect all of the creativity and talent that we are so lucky to have within such an amazing group of people. Never stop doing what you do. You make everyones lives richer.
